Hat’s off to the lakuna design Class of ‘23…

This year we said hello to Cedar Sake, its portfolio of Japanese sake breweries, and its signature sake line, BŌKEN! Cedar replied with a 2k+ mile R&D trip throughout Japan which included fantastic food, sake, visits to legendary breweries (one dating back to the 15th century), bullet trains, and, of course more sake.

401 Oyster Co. celebrated a ten year run with a rebrand in 2023. Owner and oyster farmer Brian Pinsky has been on a decades-long mission to provide a sustainable, local food source for his community. This rebrand proudly ushers in the next ten years!

Sometimes a project is a celebration. This year we got to help expert cocktail maker Thea Engst create brand and packaging for her instant cocktail kits Poetic Pours.

Another carefully crafted spirit from the talented team at O’Brien & Brough, Lime Rock Gin employs Newport, RI-harvested sea salt—from Lakuna design freinds, Newport Sea Salt—to create an authentic coastal New England livener that’s all-weather and all wonderful.

This winter saw us dreaming up warm nights and warmer spirits for Bahamian rum brand, LUNA. LUNA Rum will begin exporting to the US and UK in 2024 and enlisted our help to create a travel-ready brand identity and packaging strategy.

This past spring we were happy to be enlisted to help Wild Season Florals with a new brand identity…just in time for the opening of their new shop.

Top honors this year go to the hard working Lyric Baltimore Education team. We are grateful for being given the opportunity to support them with a new brand identity system for their annual Dream Big contest; offered to 5th-12th grade students of Baltimore city & county.

The end of the year has us working on finishing touches and an implementation strategy for an extensive rebrand of flavor gurus Olive Nation.

Approaching 20 year’s of supplying home bakers and the trade with quality extracts, spices, ingredients and more, Olive Nation will be unveiling their new look throughout 2024.

This year we took a swing at a golf club classic with Plaid Duck’s RTD Transfusion. An excellent collaboration with the Plaid Duck team birthed a brand and packaging strategy that will be as comfortable at the cookout as it is on the course.
